Projects

2008
Four More, as a continuation of a previous commission (Nine Essays), this project includes four lithographic broadsides and one installation of dates and quotations pertinent to the history of the essay. It was created for the Nonfiction Writing Program offices as a semi-permanent exhibition in the English and Philosophy Building at the University of Iowa.

2007
Travel to Hong Kong and Macao
Further research on the aesthetic environments of casinos, isolated economies and islands tied to the riverboat culture of the Mississippi and rural casinos of Iowa. Of particular interest is an incomplete utopian project proposed by Arata Isozaki, Mirage City, and the reclamation of land in the Pearl River Delta.

2006
Nine Essays, eight lithographic broadsides and one installation, was created for the Nonfiction Writing Program offices as a semi-permanent exhibition in the English and Philosophy Building at the University of Iowa. Each essay presents a particular, often unorthodox, approach to the genre resulting in a varied visual approach. The work was commissioned by and closely planned with Assistant Professor John D’Agata. Photoshop and Illustrator were used to construct/form the images and text, photo-litho and polyester plates were the primary matrices.
